Webb looks to weave series win over Dodgers

The Diamondbacks take on the Dodgers in the second game of a three-game set on Wednesday night at Bank One Ballpark.

Brandon Webb will start for the D-Backs. The right-hander rejoined the club on Tuesday after spending the weekend at home in Kentucky following the death of his grandmother.

The last time out, Webb had one of his finest games of the season. He allowed just one run over eight innings. The right-hander did not get the decision, though, as it took the D-Backs 12 innings to beat the Brewers, 2-1.

Former Arizona farmhand Brad Penny gets the starting nod for the Dodgers. It will be the eighth time Penny has faced the Diamondbacks and he has yet to lose, compiling a 4-0 record to go with a 1.27 ERA.
