DENVER -- Ian Kennedy cannot help but think of getting 20 wins. "Obviously it creeps into your mind when you get asked about it a lot," Kennedy said. When you lead the National League in wins with 18, questions about your chances of getting to 20 are natural, but Kennedy does not seem overly concerned with whether he gets to the mark.
"Anything over 15 is all just icing on the cake for me," said Kennedy. "I know that it's possible, but for me, 15 was a cool number." Kennedy said if he got to 20 wins he would view it as more of a team accomplishment, seeing as how he relies on his offense to score runs and his bullpen to help close things out. "It doesn't happen when you're on a bad team," he said.
