D-backs reinstate Hudson from disabled list

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Daniel Hudson from the 15-day disabled list and optioned catcher Konrad Schmidt to Triple-A Reno, according to D-backs' Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.

Hudson, 25, was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder impingement on April 21 (retro to April 19). He made 1 rehab start for the Aces on May 21 vs. New Orleans, allowing 2 earned runs in 5.0 innings.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder is 1-1 with a 6.00 ERA (12 ER in 18.0 IP) in 3 starts with the D-backs this season.

Schmidt, 27, went 0-for-4 with his first career RBI last night vs. Brewers. He was hitting .274 (32-for-117) with 8 doubles, 3 homers and 14 RBI in 31 games for the Aces in 2012 before his recall on May 22.
