"I've made it over the hump," Crain said following the 7-2 win over the Brewers. "I was able to let it go pretty good today. I couldn't ask for anything more."
Crain only pitched in four Spring Training games because of a strained right adductor. The team wanted to see him pitch effectively before deciding whether he should open the season on the disabled list or the active roster.
It appears that Friday night's outing cemented his spot on the active roster.
"If he's [feeling] good tomorrow, he's good to go," White Sox manager Robin Ventura said.
