D-backs set new 50/50 Raffle single-game sales record of $100,016

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks set a record tonight of $100,016 generated in their 50/50 Raffle, supported by Western Refining, during a special Fifth of July Celebration. The previous record of $35,757 was set on Opening Day this season.

The jackpot was split and one lucky fan walked away with $50,008. The remaining $50,008 will benefit the 100 Club of Arizona, American Red Cross and Phoenix Firefighters Charities. In addition, all 50/50 Raffle proceeds from this weekend will benefit charities in support of the Granite Mountain Hotshot Firefighters and communities affected by the Yarnell fire.

Fans are still encouraged to make a donation online at dbacks.com/19  in support of the 100 Club of Arizona, American Red Cross, Prescott Firefighter Charities and other charities that will assist the families and communities. Those who donate $19 or more will be entered for a chance to win a team-signed home white jersey with the name "Yarnell" and No. 19. The D-backs announced today that the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation will match $200,000 of the online donations. In addition, fans can also bid on game-worn black Arizona jerseys that the team will wear for the weekend homestand online at dbacks.com/auctions with proceeds benefiting the Yarnell charities.

Last season the D-backs generated more than $1,000,000 from the 50/50 raffle in its full inaugural season, with more than $500,000 raised to benefit the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation.

Specialized technology allows fans to watch the 50/50 raffle jackpot total on dbTV with up-to-the-second updates on the rapidly rising jackpot. In addition, the 50/50 raffle is available at all D-backs home games this season, and fans can purchase raffle tickets for $2 each, three tickets for $5, seven tickets for $10 and 15 tickets for $20. Tickets are available at any of the four 50/50 raffle kiosks along the concourse or can be purchased from any of the 50/50 raffle team members walking throughout the stadium.
