The 6-foot-6, 190-pounder has gone 11-10 with 21 saves, a 3.63 ERA (125 ER in 309.2 IP) and 368 strikeouts in 195 games (7 starts) in the Atlanta Braves (2007-08) and White Sox (2009-13) organizations. Rodriguez was originally signed as a Minor League free agent by the Braves on Sept. 28, 2006, and traded to the White Sox in a six-player deal on Dec. 5, 2008.

The D-backs' 40-man roster is now at 39.
