The Arizona Diamondbacks will be digging out some familiar duds for Alumni Night.
Arizona announced Wednesday that its players will wear the 1999 home white uniform and an alternate white cap on Aug. 30, when the D-backs host their third annual Alumni Night. The D-backs will also give out a Bob Brenly bobblehead to the first 20,000 fans who arrive at Chase Field that night.
The D-backs have worn a throwback jersey four previous times in their franchise history. Arizona wore the 2001 alternate home jersey in '11, and a 1998-2002 home purple alternate jersey in '12. The D-backs wore a 1999-2000 black alternate jersey in '13, and a 1914 Kansas City Packers jersey last season.
Alumni Night will pit the D-backs against the Rockies, and Arizona will also play an exhibition game with former franchise standouts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.dbacks.com/tickets.
