SAN DIEGO - The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) reinstated outfielder A.J. Pollock (fractured left hand) and infielder Chris Owings (strained left shoulder) from the 15-day disabled list, according to D-backs Executive Vice President & General Manager Kevin Towers.
Pollock, 26, appeared 52 games with the D-backs this season, batting .316 (56-for-177) with 16 doubles, 4 triples, 6 home runs and 15 RBI. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured right hand on June 1, and hit .173 (9-for 52) with 2 doubles, 1 triple and 9 RBI in 15 rehab games with Triple-A Reno and Rookie AZL D-backs.
Owings, 23, hit .277 (66-for-238) with 15 doubles, 5 triples, 6 home runs and 21 RBI in 72 games with the D-backs in 2014. He was placed on the 15-day disabled list on June 29 (retro to June 26) and made 13 rehab appearances with Reno and AZL D-backs, going 14-for-47 (.298) with 3 RBI, 7 runs scored and 8 stolen bases.
The D-backs active roster is at 29 and 40-man roster is now at 40.
